SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST
The SUPPLY CHAIN SPECIALIST is responsible for managing approved suppliers (Requesting Quotes and generating Purchase Orders), supporting customer solutions with the processing of customer Request for Quotes (RFQ’s) and Purchase Orders (PO’s) and supporting the company’s production planning processes. The position requires attention to detail, strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross functional teams.

QUALIFICATIONS:
1) Qualified applicant should have minimum 3 years work experience in Supply Chain, Operations or Purchasing in a manufacturing environment, and a 4 year college degree in Engineering, preferred. Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
2) Strong working knowledge in Windows-based software such as Microsoft Office: Excel and Word
3) Experience with ERP (Enterprise Resource Management) systems
4) Excellent communication skills in English language (both written and spoken)
5) Detail orientated with a strong sense of urgency and responsibility.
6) Ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as in a team setting.
7) Detail orientated, Organized and Personable; enjoys working with people
Position responsibilities include:
- Evaluating suppliers by considering price, quality, availability and other criteria
- Interviewing vendors and visiting suppliers’ facilities to confirm capabilities and quality
- Negotiating prices with vendors and suppliers to obtain the best deals on behalf of the company
- Interacting with suppliers to schedule delivery times and resolve shipping errors
- Authorizing payments and managing inventories
- Processing of customer Request for Quotes (RFQ’s) through the company’s digital quoting system (Paperless Parts)
- Processing customer Purchase Orders through the company’s digital ERP system (ProShop)
- Supporting production planning processes
- Responding to customer inquiries promptly and efficiently, providing lead-time quotes, order status updates, and handling cancellation claims
